Site rules

In the interests of making the festival a fun and safe place for all attendees, here are a few guidelines and rules that everyone attending is expected to follow.

The Committee reserves the right to require anyone who is acting in an unsafe manner or disrupting the Festival to leave.

Entry to the festival is at your own risk.

The Festival has the right to refuse entry or evict patrons who behave in a manner that is, to others or themselves, unsafe, disruptive, inappropriate, offensive or illegal. Police may be involved if required, when illegal acts appear to have occurred.

Alcohol and drugs
Disruptive behaviour due to alcoholic intoxication is considered to be offensive behaviour and will be treated as such by the committee and officials. We have a zero tolerance policy on underage drinking and illicit drugs. Offenders will be required to leave the site and the Police will be involved as needed.

All the venues are non-smoking at all times.

Minors (under 18 years of age)
A responsible adult must accompany all minors registering for the festival at the discounted (teen) rates. Minors who cannot name a responsible adult who is attending the festival are not eligible for the discounted rates. We reserve the right to ask for proof of age, please carry ID with you at all times.

The site is a wildlife reserve. No pets are permitted. Please ensure that the birds are left alone and that no live trees are to be cut or damaged.

We have been unable to find a cost-effective way to provide recycling facilities, if you wish to recycle your waste please take it away with you. Please assist us to manage waste and litter by using the rubbish bins provided and keeping your site litter free.

Open Fires – ONLY in designated fire sites. Dead wood may be collected for use on fires and in the wetback for the shower block in the top field.

Sound and video recording
Sound and video recording are not permitted without the prior written consent of the Festival Committee.

The programme
The Festival reserves the right to vary the advertised artists and/or programme.

The festival will take place regardless of the weather. In the case of rain, ample covered venues are available but it is advisable to bring warm and waterproof clothing (especially gumboots).

The Festival has procedures in place to ensure that all patrons will have a safe, happy experience at the festival. Please display safe behaviours at all times, if you see a hazard please report it quickly to a member of the Committee.

Parents are responsible for their children at all times. Children are not to go in or on the lagoon, swimming pool or confidence course without adult supervision. The abseil tower is strictly out of bounds. ANY accident that requires medical attention must be reported to a Committee member.

The Festival organisers regret that they cannot guarantee the security of the site though they, the Rovers and the Friends of Brookfield will maintain a watching eye.
